Pengenalan Pengetahuan Tradisional Sumatera Utara melalui Literasi Budaya pada Anak Usia Sekolah di Desa Paya Itik, Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Arus globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengancam keberlanjutan pengetahuan tradisional Sumatera Utara, di mana anak-anak semakin jarang berinteraksi dengan warisan budaya lokal seperti cerita rakyat, permainan tradisional, dan seni pertunjukan daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan kegiatan literasi budaya dan mengidentifikasi dampaknya terhadap pemahaman anak usia sekolah mengenai pengetahuan tradisional di Desa Paya Itik, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan 13 anak berusia 7-12 tahun sebagai partisipan utama. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kegiatan literasi budaya yang mengintegrasikan interactive storytelling, permainan tradisional congklak, aktivitas kreatif visual, dan refleksi kolaboratif berhasil merevitalisasi pengetahuan tradisional melalui tiga dimensi transformasi: internalisasi pengetahuan budaya yang mendalam, transformasi sikap positif terhadap identitas budaya Sumatera Utara, dan peningkatan kualitas interaksi sosial melalui pembentukan community of practice. Kesimpulan penelitian membuktikan bahwa pendekatan experiential learning berbasis literasi budaya efektif dalam melestarikan warisan tradisional dan membangun emotional connection yang kuat antara generasi muda dengan budaya leluhur. Disarankan untuk mengimplementasikan model literasi budaya ini secara berkelanjutan dalam kurikulum formal pendidikan dasar dengan dukungan komunitas lokal.
