Peer Riview
The journal implements a blind peer-review process that is closely monitored by the editors. The editors conduct an initial editorial assessment to evaluate the quality, relevance, and type of each manuscript before it enters the formal review process. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's scientific standards will not be considered for peer review.
Authors are expected to carefully follow the journal's Author Guidelines and clearly indicate the appropriate publication category, except for manuscripts submitted as Review Articles. The editors also assess the manuscript's readability, language, grammar, and overall presentation. Authors may be requested to revise and resubmit manuscripts that do not meet the required standards.
Editors invite qualified referees to provide an assessment of the manuscript's scientific merit, originality, relevance, and potential interest to the journal's broad readership. Editors communicate with reviewers throughout the review process and provide periodic reminders regarding their review deadlines.
Once all required reviews have been received, the Editor handling the manuscript will normally make an editorial decision within one or two days. The corresponding author will then be notified of the decision. Reviewers contribute their valuable time and expertise to support the integrity and advancement of the scientific publication process.
Authors may disagree with reviewers' comments provided that their response is supported by a clear and rational scientific explanation. Such responses will be carefully considered by the Editor and, when necessary, may be referred back to the reviewer for further assessment. However, offensive, disrespectful, or inappropriate remarks concerning reviewers' comments may result in cancellation of the publication process.
Following completion of the peer-review process, the Editor conducts a final editorial assessment before making a recommendation regarding acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.
Every effort is made to complete the entire review and publication process within three months of submission. The first editorial decision is normally communicated within an average of 30 days.
The entire manuscript submission and peer-review process is conducted online and digitally. Authors are required to use the journal's online submission system to submit their manuscripts and all required documents. Authors should contact the Editor by email only when they are unable to use the online submission system.
- Submission. The author submits the complete manuscript together with all required materials, including the copyright form and a separate cover letter.
- Initial Editorial Screening. The submitted manuscript is initially assessed by the editor(s) to determine whether it falls within the broad scope of the journal and demonstrates sufficient scientific merit. The editor(s) also assess readability, grammar, language usage, formatting, and compliance with the Author Guidelines.
- Technical Screening. A manuscript may be rejected at the initial stage if it does not comply with the journal's technical requirements. Examples include identifying the authors and affiliations in the main manuscript where a blinded manuscript is required, missing tables or figures referred to in the text, or failure to follow the Author Guidelines.
- Reviewer Assignment. After receiving initial editorial approval, the completed submission is sent to two or three reviewers for evaluation.
- Peer Review. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and submit their reports and recommendations to the editorial office.
- Editorial Decision. After the initial review has been completed, the Editor-in-Chief communicates the reviewers' comments and the editorial decision to the corresponding author.
- Revision. Authors are required to respond to the reviewers' comments and make the necessary corrections to the manuscript.
- Re-review. When necessary, the revised manuscript is sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation.
- Final Decision. The Editor-in-Chief may accept the manuscript, reject it, request minor revisions, or send it for an additional review.
- Acceptance and In-Press Processing. If the manuscript is accepted, the author must submit the final version. The accepted manuscript will then proceed to the in-press production queue.
- Proofreading and Publication. Prior to publication, page proofs (galleys) will be sent to the authors for final checking. Once the proofs have been approved, no further substantive changes may be made.
